home.  "His contemporary art reminds me of God's goodness -- everyday," said Catherine Miller, George
Lynch collector.  "I appreciate the way his paintings draw friends into a conversation.  I have been able to
share Christ and what He has done for me by talking about George Lynch's modern art in my home."

"When I saw his paintings, I knew that having George Lynch paint contemporary art during a service
would be impactful.  His art is colorful and our congregation responded immediately.  His painting conveys
the character of God in emotional ways that connect with people.  George Lynch offered his paintings as
donations to the church.  We hosted a silent auction and the paintings generated significant prices.  We
were ecstatic.  Who'd known there was such a desire to own contemporary art within our congregation "
"I have purchased his paintings because they spoke to me -- to my inner soul. There is nothing better than
looking at a G. Lynch painting and being reminded of what God has in store for me."

"Our high schoolers were thrilled with having George Lynch paint during one of our services.  He worked
during praise time and during the message.  What seemed so abstract came to full life when he discussed
his interpretation of the Bible passage we'd been studying.  We love having his art in our studio.  It is a
reminder of God's relevancy to us today."

"I love contemporary art.  I love modern art.  I was so excited to find a Contemporary artist who is also a
Christian.  The fact that he takes truths from the Bible and makes them real and modern is so compelling.  I
love having his abstract art in my home."   George Lynch competes in art shows.  Art for sale on this

Local Adman leverage skills in his abstract art

Colleyville, TX -- George Lynch’s abstract expressionistic art centers on conveying God’s character.  He
captures truths about God in wildly expressive art that is getting the attention of local contemporary art fans.
Drawing from the word pictures he sees in Scripture or hymns, Lynch provides modern visual cues that bring a
Bible passage or song rushing into the viewer’s mind.   “Just a few words written on a canvas can link the
spiritual significance to the modern art.  I like abstract art that tells a story,” says Lynch. “You won’t find
anything ‘Untitled’ in my work.”

An experienced advertising executive for travel marketing giant Sabre Holdings (www.sabre-holdings.com) in
Southlake, Lynch leverages his professional skills in combining words and visuals to communicate.  “The
juxtaposition of modern art to God’s ancient, unchanging character reminds me how active and in-the-now He
is,” says Lynch.  “In the advertising world, it’s the combination of words and images that draws response from
an ad.  Often the more incongruent the image is to the words, the more sticky the ad is in your mind.  I love
Citibank’s campaign on credit card fraud that demonstrated how they’re always scanning your account looking
for a purchase that doesn’t fit with your purchase history in order to identify the potential of identity been
stolen.  You’ve seen the TV spot with the sweet grandmother ringing up charge’s at ‘Big Lou’s Palace of
Tattoos.’  Incongruent just sticks.”

His approach to religious themes purposely avoids iconic imagery.  “I like to provoke a conversation with art.
Including things that are easily decoded as Christian, seems to put art in a ‘category.’  When people are
compelled by the visual to understand more about the idea behind it, it’s exciting,” says Lynch.

Lynch also sees art as a way of keeping God’s truth ever before him and his family.  “Deuteronomy 6 tells us to
tie God’s commands as symbols on your hands and write them on the door frames of our houses and on your
gates.  For my “less-is-more” aesthetic, moving those truths into art was simpler than having Post-it notes all
over the house.  Living with visually stimulating reminders of God’s goodness and grace, keeps me centered on
Him.”

Lynch’s work is featured in the upcoming Tour de Chefs, Saturday, November 5, presented by Covenant
Christian Academy’s Friends of the Arts.  The parade of homes on the tour includes the Colleyville home of Tom
and Catherine Miller, one of Lynch’s earliest patrons, who wanted to display more of his work for the show.
“His work draws people into conversation.  His modern way shows that loving God is cool and hip.  I love being
reminded of God and His hand on my life by George’s art,” said Catherine Miller.

Lynch, his wife and two children live in Colleyville.
