Based on Psalm 23
Paraphrased from The Message
1 Because the Lord is my shepherd, I don't need a
thing. 2 You have bedded me down in lush
meadows, You find me quiet pools to drink from.
3True to Your Word, You let me catch my breath and
send me in the right direction.
4Even when the way goes through Death Valley, I'm
not afraid because You walk right beside me. Your
guidance and discipline (yes – even discipline!)
makes me feel secure.
5You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of
my enemies. You lift up my head; my cup overflows
with Your blessings – hope, peace, joy (which are
so much better than what I used to chase after).
6Your beauty and love chase after me every day of
my life. I want to dwell in Your house for the rest of
my life.

God is waiting for my invitation to come fill my heart
and my home. All I have to do is humbly ask Him.
And He comes rushing in, cooling, calming,
restoring.

Artist’s Statement:
For me it came at 30. Finally I realized that the road
of life was so much more peaceful, joy-filled and
rich when I yielded totally to God. When it did
finally dawn on me, I was filled with remorse that it
took me so long to give up my ways for His better
ways.

Artist’s Statement:
Based on Psalm 16, this painting calls me to count
my blessings. To be thankful with all that God has
placed inside my “backyard.” A real estate survey
provides the abstract metaphor of looking at the
goodness God has packed on my lot -- inside the
boundary lines he made fall in pleasant places.
Psalm 16:5-6 Lord you have assigned me my
portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant
places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
